Metanoia es su más reciente muestra con lo más representativo en formato video de toda su obra en la Galería Tanja Grunert en New York. Comprendía 29 videos que hacían una suerte de antología de su obra producida desde 1968 hasta 2010. Películas avant garde, video performance, “video-body actions” y videos experimentales.

Lamezuela, de Deborah Castillo, es un signo que surge y da cuenta del malestar, del defecto y de la espina encarnada de nuestro tiempo. Un signo que por demás “se ha convertido en una imagen icónica de este momento que vivimos como país”. Un signo intempestivo, que impacta y choca, con todo lo que esto supone, en la percepción cultural e histórica de nuestro tiempo.

Lamezuela, a sign that arises from and accounts for the malaise, the defect, and the ingrown spine of our time. A sign that has “become an iconic image of the moment we are living as a country”; an untimely sign that impacts and collides – with all its implications – with the cultural and historical perception of our time.

The Heart Is Not a Metaphor is a body art exhibition that took over 13 galleries at the MoMA and included a retrospective of Gober’s 40-year career. Of course, it was entirely forbidden to take photos in that room. It is also important to admit that certain things are impossible to narrate.
